Christmas can be a pretty depressing time for a child in an orphanage. Kards 4 Kids is a happy spin on Christmas for the many children in the Orphanos family. For 12 consecutive years, Orphanos has been able to recruit volunteers all over the United States to write cards and bless many children. This program started small, but before we knew it, we were reaching hundreds of children in many orphanage homes in countries like, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Nicaragua, Brazil, Jamaica and also South Korea. At Orphanos we work to give a personalized treatment to all we do, and this program could not be any different. With that in mind, we have a list of the children, as well as greetings in their own language. Add to that a crowd of caring volunteers all over the country and what we have is a recipe for success!

In 2011 our office processed almost 5 thousand cards going to the children! For many of them, the cards, the sticks of gum and stickers were all they got  for Christmas, but most importantly was the fact that somebody cared to send them a note, in their language, with their name on it! Made just for them!

Another fun thing that we do is to send funds for the homes to have a birthday party for Jesus! That is also a huge highlight of their Christmas celebration!
