It’s tempting when confronted with the numbers to feel numb and powerless to do anything about the global problem of children at risk. And it’s true, alone there is very little impact we can make to reduce those numbers. The source of power to affect real and lasting change is found only through Christ Jesus. So we encourage our friends to pray for children at risk. You can pray by statistic, you can pray by category, or you can pray by name for any of the children we seek to care for or the missionaries helping the children we serve.
While we appreciate your financial gift, and we do not intend to minimize it in any way, we really love your promise to pray for Orphanos. Prayer has amazing power. When you pray, God mobilizes His People to do things in accordance with His Will through the Power of His Holy Spirit. God will remember the cup of water given in His Name and He will recall the financial gift you gave. But, your gift of prayer is even more impactful, and we plead for your regular prayers on our behalf here at Orphanos.
